Nearshore is where Sarasota’s reputation as a world-class fishing destination really shows. Reefs, ledges, and artificial structure hold kingfish, grouper, snapper, and the seasonal pelagics that draw anglers from across the country. The water is deeper, the fish are bigger, and the action is harder-pulling than anything you’ll find on the flats. Every nearshore trip works multiple spots based on what’s biting that day.

Federal and Florida FWC saltwater regulations apply offshore — Our Captain’s stay current on seasons, size limits, and bag limits for every species so your trip is fully compliant. Some species are catch-and-release based on the time of year.

Safety equipment onboard: 6-man survival life raft, satellite phone, ACR ResQLink 400 PLB, VHF radio, life vests. You don’t want to be miles offshore without it.
